Fun Friends, Inc. is proud to be an auction participant in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 3rd Annual Pipeline to A Cure Gala presented by Wahoo Fish Taco and fueled by A-Med Health Care. This event will set sail on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Resort in Huntington Beach, California. The Gala will be honoring Tim Salmon (LA Angels, 1992-2004, 2006). Guests will enjoy an evening of celebrity entertainment, fabulous food and spectacular silent and live auctions, all while mingling with their favorite surfing celebrities. This summer gala will be recognizing the positive effect that surfing has on the health of children and young adults with cystic fibrosis (CF). The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind with 90% of every dollar raised available for investment in research, care and education programs. Betty Pink's Having a Ladybug Party!

Bettie Pink is having a party! A ladybug never tells her age but she's celebrating a milestone birthday with fun friends, and her very own ladybug cake (recipe below). We've got our party supplies, balloons and streamers, and found out how to make and decorate a very special ladybug cake from Ladybug Magazine. We almost settled for cupcakes but glad we didn't. We found a special ladybug cake pan that we set aside for this big event. Invitations were snail-mailed to our friends. Did you know that ladybugs bring good luck? And they also bring super gifts. Our guest arrived with ladybug stickers to share and ladybug necklaces that glowed so brightly. After cake and icecream we gathered to play the Ladybug Game which I received as a gift from my grandmother. My thoughts are that they boy's cheated! I think next time we'll plan a fashionable ladybug picnic but no ants will be invited...or boys....lol.
